9.2 Inspection of the Electronic Solar Switch (ESS)
Check the Electronic Solar Switch for wear before you attach it.
To do so, check the metal tongues on the inside of the plug for brown discoloration.
If at least one of the metal tongues is brown or fully burned off (see figure above), the Electronic
Solar Switch can no longer be guaranteed to function correctly.
You must replace the handle of the Electronic Solar Switch before you can reactivate the Sunny Boy.
Replacements for damaged Electronic Solar Switch handles are available from your dealer.
