Modbus exception 3 "Illegal
Data Value" is reported in the
Modbus client.
You may be trying to write to a data block (Modbus commands
0x10 and 0x17) and one of the values has a data type that is
not permitted.
Corrective measures:
• Read off the data type of the register to be written to from
the "Type" column of the corresponding assignment table
and correct it in the Modbus client.
Modbus exception 4 "Slave
Device Failure" is reported in
the Modbus client.
You may be trying to read or write to a register of a device, but
are using a unit ID that is not permitted.
Corrective measures:
