If the Link LED on your SMC Networks PCI Card (SMCWPCI-G) doesn't light up, or you're unable to access network resources from your computer, first, ensure that the correct software driver is installed for your operating system. If necessary, try reinstalling the driver. Also, check that the computer and other network devices are receiving power. Finally, the access point you're trying to connect to might be defective, so try using another access point.
