12. Limitations of Use
Exhaust from Ejector
The exhaust resistance should be as small as possible to obtain the full ejector performance. There should
be no shield around the exhaust slit for silencer exhaust type. When the product is installed, one of the ports
should be open to atmosphere.
For port exhaust type, back pressure may increase depending on the piping size and length. Ensure that the
back pressure does not exceed 0.005 MPa (5 kPa). For the nozzle products with a nozzle diameter for a large
amount of exhaust air (air consumption + suction flow), such as ø1.5(ZK[ ] 15), precaution should be taken on
vacuum pressure decrease. Figure A below shows the relation between the exhaust piping (piping diameter
and length) and vacuum pressure When connecting pipes on port exhaust types with an outer diameter of Ø8
or more, connect them so that the joints do not interfere with each other (Fig. B).
