Why does my Smeg Dryer take so long to dry?
- JJustin LewisAug 17, 2025
A long drying time on your Smeg Dryer can be due to several factors. The lint filter surface may be clogged, so try washing it with lukewarm water. The heat exchanger might be clogged, requiring cleaning. Ensure the ventilation grills are open to prevent the room temperature from rising too much. A layer of limescale on the humidity sensor can also cause this, so clean the humidity sensor. Avoid overloading the dryer, and select a higher spin speed on your washing machine to ensure laundry is sufficiently spun.
