Why does my Smeg Dryer take so long to dry?
- CCarly DeleonAug 7, 2025
Several factors can cause a Smeg dryer to take longer than expected. The lint filter surface might be clogged, so wash it with lukewarm water. The heat exchanger could be clogged, requiring cleaning. Make sure the ventilation grills are open to prevent the room temperature from rising too much. A limescale layer on the humidity sensor can also extend drying time, so clean the sensor. Avoid overloading the dryer and ensure your laundry is sufficiently spun in the washing machine by selecting a higher spin speed.
