Why does my Smeg DT292PIT Dryer take so long to dry?
- JJoseph SmithAug 9, 2025
If the drying process with your Smeg Dryer is taking longer than expected, it could be due to several reasons. The lint filter might be clogged, so try washing it with lukewarm water. The heat exchanger could also be clogged and require cleaning. Make sure the ventilation grills in front of the machine are open to prevent the room temperature from rising too much. A layer of limescale on the humidity sensor can also extend drying time, so clean the humidity sensor. Avoid overloading the dryer with laundry and ensure your laundry is sufficiently spun by selecting a higher spin speed on your washing machine.
