Why is my Smeg FAB28LNE not cooling enough?
    • M
      Mary RiceAug 11, 2025
Your Smeg Refrigerator might not be cooling sufficiently due to several reasons. The inside temperature setting on the thermostat may be set too low. Opening the door frequently or for extended periods, or high outside temperatures can also affect cooling. Additionally, the door might not be closing properly. Try adjusting the regulator to an intermediate setting (4-5), reduce how often and how long the door is opened, ensure food is correctly arranged to allow proper door closure and that the refrigerator is level. Also, check the gasket to make sure it's sealing properly and is not damaged.

How to stop my Smeg FAB28LNE compressor from running constantly?
    • N
      Nancy ThomasAug 19, 2025
If the compressor in your Smeg Refrigerator starts too often or runs continuously, it could be due to inadequate cooling of the compressor and condenser, possibly caused by a rise in outside temperature, frequent or prolonged door openings, or placing too much fresh food inside. Ensure the rear of the appliance has proper ventilation and that the condenser is not overly dirty. Also, try freezing less food at a time.

What to do if my Smeg FAB28LNE compressor won't start?
    • K
      Karen ContrerasAug 26, 2025
If the compressor on your Smeg Refrigerator isn't starting, check if the temperature regulator is set to 0, ensure the power supply lead is properly connected to the electrical mains. If it's not connected, connect the lead to the power supply.

How to fix water pooling in the bottom of my Smeg FAB28LNE?
    • W
      wagnernicoleSep 2, 2025
If you find water at the bottom of your Smeg Refrigerator compartment, it's likely that the condensation drain opening is blocked or frozen. Clear the drain opening to resolve this issue.
