How to use the automatic detection functions*
In case you are in doubt of the location of the γ radiation source you can detect the latter by means of a
hand-held meter suitable for measuring γ radiation.
Radiation alarm
The detected radiation source's intensity is by several times higher than that of the radiation warning.

When rechecking suspect and possibly contaminated items and individuals, proceed according to the
provisions and safety instructions given to you! Observe that radiation sources may be of microscop-
ic quantity so that a detection with the naked eye is not possible! 1120
The functions HI-SPOT* and High Density Alert* - HDA
Using the functions HI-SPOT and High Density Alert your
attention will automatically be drawn to higher absorbing
objects in the X-ray image by corresponding markings, if
the objects have a certain minimum size and absorption
degree.
Function HI-SPOT highlights the image sections contain-
ing higher absorbing objects with the display of higher
penetration (HIGH). Higher access level users can select a
constant or a blinking display.
Function High Density Alert provides higher absorbing
objects with a pink frame.
