Reinstall
idlers
removed
in
steps
1
and
2.
The
idler
belt
guides
will
self
locate
on
tabs.
Tighten
bolts
securely.

Engage
blade
lever
and
adjust
spindle
belt
guides.

proper
belt
to
belt
guide
clearances.

Move
transmission
shift
lever
to
the
neutral
(N)
position.

CAUTION
A
Before
attempting
any
adjustments
or
repairs,
turn
engine
off,
remove
key,
remove
spark
piug
wire
from
spark
piug
and
secure
spark
plug
wire
away
from
spark
plug.

Follow
procedures
for
standing
the
Rear
Engine
Rider
on
rear
bumper.
Refer
to
4.2,
C.

JUSTING

BLADE.
5.
Route
new
belt,
part
number
2-4497,
through
front
belt
guide
to
engine
pulley/drive
disc
as¬
sembly.
6.
Rotate
yoke
out
with
your
hand
and
work
belt
between
drive
and
driven
discs.
7.
Move
transmission
shift
lever
to
the
#5
position
and
place
belt
over
drive
disc
and
into
drive
pulley
belt
groove.
