Why won't my Snapper Lawn Mower engine turn over or start?
- GGregory CarterAug 16, 2025
There are several reasons why your Snapper Lawn Mower engine might not be starting: * The brake pedal may not be fully depressed, so ensure you fully depress the brake pedal. * The PTO (electric clutch) switch might be in the ON position; place it in the OFF position. * Cruise control may be engaged; move the knob to the NEUTRAL/OFF position. * You might be out of fuel; if the engine is hot, allow it to cool before refilling the fuel tank. * The battery terminals may need cleaning; see Cleaning the Battery and Cables section. * The battery could be discharged or dead; recharge or replace the battery. * There might be loose or broken wiring; visually check the wiring, and if wires are frayed or broken, consult an authorized dealer.
