7 | SETUP FOR BLACKBERRY
This chapter explains how to install and use the Bluetooth
Cordless Hand Scanner (CHS) with a RIM BlackBerry®
Bold™ 9700 smartphone running BlackBerry OS 5.0.0.714
or later.
Before you begin the instructions in this chapter, make
sure you have installed the batteries (and tether, if
desired), and charged the scanner, as described in Chapter
2, “Scanner Setup”
The CHS can only be used in SPP mode with
BlackBerry smartphones.
Other devices running BlackBerry OS 5 or later
may be supported.
