The Sofirn HS41 is a high-performance right-angle flashlight designed for various lighting needs, from camping and hiking to general exploration. It provides a bright and reliable light source, ensuring excellent visibility and safety in diverse environments.

Function Description

The HS41 is equipped with four LUMINUS SST-20 LEDs, delivering an impressive maximum output of 4000 lumens. It operates on a single 21700 battery and features an intuitive user interface with both stepped and smooth ramping modes. The flashlight includes advanced temperature regulation (ATR) to prevent overheating by automatically adjusting brightness levels. It also incorporates low battery protection, automatically switching to a lower output mode when the battery level is low, and disabling output if the voltage drops below 2.7V in eco or moonlight mode. Reverse polarity protection is built-in to prevent damage from incorrect battery installation. A voltage warning system alerts the user with a red indicator flash and two vibrations per minute when the battery voltage falls below 3V, signaling insufficient power.

Usage Features

The HS41 offers a versatile user interface with both stepped and smooth ramping modes, which can be toggled by four fast clicks of the switch when the flashlight is on.

Battery Level Indicator: Upon turning on, the indicator displays power status for 5 seconds:

• Green: 70% - 100% battery
• Red: 30% - 69% battery
• Flashing Red: Less than 30% battery (critical, requires replacement or recharge)

Charging: The flashlight features a USB Type-C charging port. Connect it using the included USB-A to USB-C cable and a 5V/3A USB power adapter (not included). The indicator flashes red during charging and turns green when fully charged.

Stepped Ramping:

• ON/OFF: Single-click the switch.
• Change Brightness Level: When on, press and hold the switch to cycle through Eco, Low, and Medium. Release to select.
• Direct Access to Moonlight Mode: When off, press and hold the switch for over one second.
• Direct Access to High & Turbo Mode: When on, double-click for High mode. Double-click again to cycle between High and Turbo. Single-click to return to the previous mode.
• Direct Access to Strobe Mode: Triple-click for Strobe mode. Press and hold to cycle through Strobe, SOS, and Beacon. Single-click to return to the previous mode.

Smooth Ramping:

• ON/OFF: Single-click the switch.
• Ramping Up/Down: When on, press and hold to steplessly change brightness between 1lm and 2000lm.
• High Mode Activation (Smooth Ramping): When on, quickly double-click the switch to activate High mode. Then, press and hold the switch to change brightness steplessly between 1lm and 4000lm.
• Ramping Direction Change: Ramping changes direction if the switch is pressed again within 1.5 seconds. The LED flashes once when it reaches the lowest or highest end of the ramp.
• Direct Access to Moonlight Mode: When off, press and hold the switch for over one second.

Lock/Unlock: When off, perform 4 fast clicks to lock the flashlight. The LED blinks twice to confirm lock mode. To unlock and return to the previously used mode, perform 4 fast clicks. In lock mode, only momentary-moonlight can be activated by holding the switch; any other operation will cause the LED to flash twice.

Safety Instructions:

• Never point directly at people, animals, or moving vehicles to avoid retinal damage.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Strobe mode may trigger seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy.
• The flashlight may heat up quickly in high-powered modes; this is normal.
• Ensure correct battery installation (positive end towards the head).
• Remove the battery during transport to prevent accidental activation and drainage.
• Avoid hitting or dropping the flashlight.

Maintenance Features

• Initial Use: Unscrew the tail cap and remove the insulating paper before first use. Ensure the positive end of the new battery faces the flashlight head when replacing.
• Battery Care: Sofirn, Ltd. recommends using high-quality brand batteries. Damage from battery leakage voids the warranty. Remove the battery if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period to prevent self-discharge or accidental activation.
• Threads: Every 6 months, threads should be wiped with a clean cloth and lubricated with a thin layer of silicone grease.
• Waterproofness: Replace worn-out o-rings with an approved spare to maintain proper waterproofness.
• Troubleshooting:
  • Dirty Contacts: Clean battery contacts regularly with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol if the flashlight flickers, shines intermittently, or fails to turn on.
  • Battery Replacement: If the battery needs replacement, use an approved type of a fully charged battery.
  • First Use Failure: Ensure the insulation sticker has been removed from the battery.
• Warranty: If troubleshooting methods do not resolve issues, refer to the warranty policy and contact an authorized distributor.
