4 Installation
SolaCom systems are shipped with all components preinstalled and configured. However, for
upgrades or reconfigurations, it may be necessary to have a PAC module added on site. The
information in this section is meant to help you install and configure a PAC module to your system.
4.1 Equipment
The external equipment associated with the PAC module consists of the following:
• Jack Box – contains dual-prong jacks and under-desk mounting brackets.
• PAC Speaker – external speaker for radio RX audio.
• Power Supply – transformer capable of providing 60W from an AC source.
• Footswitch (optional) – alternative device for keying PTT.
• Cables – for interconnecting the components.
