Low Salt Levels Detected

Check salinity with stick, add salt as per manual.

Debris in Electrical Connector

Disconnect, inspect, and gently remove debris from connector.

Worn Cell or Scale Build-up

Visually inspect, clean cartridge if dirty or damaged.

Profound System Error

Check power box, replace cartridge/control box if needed.

No Display (Power Supply Issues)

System Turned Off

Turn the system on.

Power Supply Disconnected

Connect the plug into the socket.

Circulation Pump Status

Verify pump is on and unit wiring ensures operation with pump.

Other Unit Malfunction

Replace control box.

Low Chlorine Output Troubleshooting

Output Level Set Too Low

Press '+' button to set output level higher.

Low Pool Water Temperature

Refer to COLD WATER LED on page 7.

Insufficient Salt Levels

Refer to LOW SALT warning on page 6.

Overheating Protection Engaged

Unit reduces chlorine production to protect itself.

Scale Build-up in Cartridge (Output)

Clean cartridge, refer to manual or YouTube video.

Worn Cartridge (Output)

Cartridge may be worn and requires replacing.

Leak and Crack Troubleshooting

Side;Top Nut Leaking

Tighten the nut or replace the O-ring.

Top Nut Cracked;Broken

Replace control box and O-ring to the latest version.

Overview

The Solaxx Resilience E Series is a water treatment solution designed for pool owners, primarily functioning as a salt chlorine generator. It aims to simplify pool maintenance by automatically producing chlorine from salt in the pool water.

Function Description:

The core function of the Solaxx Resilience E Series is to generate chlorine for pool sanitation through electrolysis. It converts salt (sodium chloride) present in the pool water into hypochlorous acid, which is a powerful sanitizer. The system monitors various parameters to ensure efficient and safe operation, including water salinity, temperature, and flow. The control box allows users to adjust the chlorine output level. The device is designed to provide service and maintenance alerts, making it easier for pool owners to keep the system running optimally.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Salinity Requirement: The system operates optimally when the pool water salinity is above 2400 PPM (parts per million).
  • Chlorine Output Levels: The maximum chlorine output level is affected by water temperature. When the water temperature is below 68°F (20°C), the maximum chlorine output is reduced to 50%. Below 59°F (15°C), it is further reduced to 25%.
  • Cell Life: The electrolysis cartridge has an estimated operating life of over 8000 hours.
  • Components: The system comprises a control box, a replaceable electrolysis cartridge, a bi-directional flow sensor, and built-in temperature and salinity sensors.

Usage Features:

  • Easy Installation: The device is designed for straightforward installation, requiring only "one pipe to cut and glue."
  • User-Friendly Control Box: The control box features an ON/OFF button, output level adjustment buttons (+/-), and a TURBO mode for increased chlorine production.
  • LED Indicators: The control box includes several LED indicators to provide real-time status and troubleshooting information:
    • OUTPUT: Displays the current chlorine output level.
    • SYSTEM ERROR: Blinks when there's no communication between the cartridge and control box, or stays constant for other system errors (e.g., high salinity, low salt levels, debris in electrical connector, worn cell/scale buildup, or a more profound error).
    • NO FLOW: Illuminates when the flow switch paddle is centered or when air bubbles are present in the salinity sensor.
    • LOW SALT: Turns on when measured water salinity levels are below 2400 ppm.
    • COLD WATER: Indicates that the water temperature is below 68°F (20°C), leading to reduced chlorine output.
    • CLEAN CELL: Lights up when the chlorine output level doesn't reach the set point, despite salinity being above 2400 ppm and water temperature above 68°F.
    • CELL LIFE LOW: Turns on when cell operating hours exceed 8000, and chlorine output doesn't reach the set point, with salinity above 2400 ppm and water temperature above 68°F.
  • Quick Cartridge Removal: Unique sliding slots allow for quick cartridge removal without needing to remove the entire device from the line, simplifying maintenance.
  • Bi-directional Flow Sensor: Ensures proper operation regardless of water flow direction.
  • Built-in Sensors: Integrated temperature and salinity sensors provide accurate readings for optimal performance and safety.

Maintenance Features:

  • Service and Maintenance Alerts: The system provides built-in alerts to notify users when cleaning or replacement of the cartridge is needed.
  • Scale Buildup Check: Users are advised to regularly check for scale buildup on the cartridge and clean it if necessary. The manual or YouTube videos provide guidance on how to dismantle the cartridge and remove scale.
  • Salinity Monitoring: Regular checks of pool water salinity with a stick are recommended. If salinity is low, salt should be added according to the installation manual's salinity table.
  • Cartridge Replacement: The electrolysis cartridge is replaceable. If troubleshooting steps for "NO FLOW," "LOW SALT," "CLEAN CELL," or "CELL LIFE LOW" do not resolve the issue, replacing the cartridge is often the solution.
  • Electrical Connection Inspection: In case of system errors, inspecting the electrical connector of the cartridge for debris and re-attaching it is a recommended troubleshooting step.
  • Control Box Replacement: In rare cases of persistent system errors or power supply issues (no display), replacing the control box may be necessary.
  • O-ring Replacement: For leaks around the side/top nut, tightening the nut or replacing the O-ring is suggested.
  • Addressing Top Nut Cracks: If the top nut is cracked or broken (a production problem in older versions), replacing the control box and the O-ring with the latest version is recommended.
