The Solplanet ASW H-S2 Series is a range of single-phase hybrid inverters designed for residential photovoltaic (PV) systems. These inverters are high-quality devices that convert solar energy to AC energy and store excess energy in a battery. They are capable of optimizing energy flow to increase self-consumption and can also provide power for emergency use during grid outages by utilizing energy from the battery and PV array. The series includes models ASW3000-H-S2, ASW3680-H-S2, ASW4000-H-S2, ASW5000-H-S2, and ASW6000-H-S2.
Function Description:
The Solplanet ASW H-S2 hybrid inverter acts as the central component in a PV system, managing energy flow between the PV panels, battery, grid, and household loads. It supports multiple working modes: Self-Consumption, Backup, Force time use Custom, and Off-grid. In Self-Consumption mode, the photovoltaic energy is primarily used locally to improve self-consumption rate and self-sufficiency. Load priority is typically load > battery > GRID. When PV energy is sufficient, it powers the load, charges the battery, and exports to the grid. If PV power is insufficient, the load is powered by PV, battery, and the grid. In Backup mode, the battery provides backup power to the load during a grid failure. The load priority is battery > load > GRID. Under normal conditions, the battery does not discharge unless there's a grid failure. The Force time use custom mode allows users to manage energy according to their needs, setting daily charging and discharging schedules via an app. Off-grid mode enables the inverter to operate independently of the grid, providing power to the load whether the grid is available or not.

Usage Features:
- System Solution: The inverter integrates with PV panels, a battery, a meter, the grid, and an APP for monitoring and control. It supports various loads including back-up loads, normal loads, and general electrical equipment.
- Mounting: The inverter is suitable for indoor and outdoor use (IP66 rated). It must be mounted on a solid wall that is vertical or tilted backwards (Max. 15°). Adequate heat dissipation requires specific clearances: 500mm above, 500mm below, and 300mm on the sides. For multiple inverters, clearances between units are also specified. The mounting procedure involves drilling three Φ10mm holes at a depth of about 70mm, inserting wall plugs, fixing the wall mounting bracket with self-tapping screws (SW10), and then hanging the inverter and securing it with M5 screws. A padlock can be attached for theft protection.
- Communication: The inverter supports WLAN for system monitoring via the Solplanet APP, available on Android and iOS. It also features communication ports for BMS CAN cable, DRED cable, Smart meter cable, and WiFi connection.
- Display: The inverter is equipped with five LEDs (SOLAR, BAT, ERR, EPS, GRID) that indicate its operating status, self-check/software update status, battery SOC, faults, and grid connection status.
- Safety: The manual emphasizes critical safety information, including warnings about high voltages, electric shock, hot enclosure parts, and the need for qualified electricians for installation and maintenance. It also details symbols used in the manual to highlight danger, warning, caution, and notice information.
- Start-Up: After electrical and mechanical checks, the inverter starts up. The smart meter communication format needs to be set, and the Solplanet application should be downloaded for monitoring and control. The inverter will enter a waiting state if conditions are not met.
Maintenance Features:
- General Maintenance: The inverter requires no maintenance or calibration. Regular inspection of the inverter and cables for visible damage is recommended.
- Cleaning: The enclosure should be cleaned with a soft cloth. The heat sink should be cleaned annually by cycling the DC switch on and off five times. For thorough cleaning, compressed air or a soft brush can be used, but aggressive chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents should be avoided. Ensure the heat sink has cooled down for approximately 30 minutes before cleaning.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide with error codes and corrective measures for presumptive and permanent faults. These include checking open-circuit voltages, input voltage, grid frequency, grid voltage, fuses, grounding connections, airflow to the heat sink, ambient temperature, and communication devices.
- Recycling and Disposal: The inverter should not be disposed of with normal domestic waste. It must be disposed of according to local regulations for electronic waste.
- Warranty: A factory warranty card is included with the package. Warranty terms and conditions are available on www.solplanet.net. AISWEI reserves the right to refuse warranty service if conditions are not met.
