Somfy Sunea Motor Replacement
In
Suntube lateral arm awning
Here are the step-by-step instructions for removal of a Sunea motor
from a Suntube:
1. Be sure to tie the arms back to the square bar when closed
2. project roller tube ahead a few inches, loosening the fabric
3. remove large plastic end cap
4. remove the 3 screws from the metal end plate
5. loosen the AU17 from the square bar, leaving it connected to
the motor
6. Using the AU17, slide the motor our of the roller tube
7. separate the AU17 and original motor by removing the 2
bolts
8. Install new motor on AU17 & end plate with bolts
9. Re-insert new motor into open roller tube with AU17 & end
plate attached.
10. Align plate screw holes & re-insert 3 screws.
11. Put plastic end cap back in place
12. Untie arms
13. re program motor per the attachments
