To perform Synchro Recording
from a desired track
You can select the first track in Synchro
Recording.
1 After performing steps 1 to 4, press . or
> repeatedly to select the desired track
number.
2 Press z REC PAUSE/START on the unit
while the selected track number is flashing.
Recording starts.
To record a CD by specifying
track order
You can record only your favorite CD tracks
using Program Play. Between steps 3 and 4,
perform steps 2 to 5 of “Creating your own
program” (page 18).
To stop recording
Press x.
Notes
CD Synchro Recording is not available with DVD,
VIDEO CD, MP3 audio tracks and JPEG image files.
You cannot listen to other sources while recording.
If the play mode is set to Repeat Play or Shuffle Play,
it automatically switches to Normal Play in step 4.
The sound effect automatically switches to “FLAT”
in step 4.
You can record just the portions you like from a
disc (DVD, VIDEO CD, CD and MP3) or radio
program on a tape.
You can also record from connected
components (see “Hooking up optional
components” (page 42)).
Use buttons on the unit for the operation.
1 Load a recordable tape.
2 Press one of the following buttons to
select the desired source to record.
DVD NX: To record from this
system’s CD/DVD player. Playback
starts automatically if a disc is loaded.
Press x to stop playback. To cancel
Resume Play, press x twice.
TUNER/BAND: To record from this
system’s tuner.
PC/TV/AUDIO IN: To record from the
optional component connected to the PC
port, AUDIO IN jack or TV IN L/R
jacks.
3 Press z REC PAUSE/START.
The tape deck stands by for recording.
“REC” flashes.
4 Press z REC PAUSE/START, then start
playing the desired source to record.
Recording starts.
To stop recording
Press x.
Notes
You cannot listen to other sources while recording.
If no sound is being recorded when recording from a
DVD, set “Dolby Digital” or “DTS” to “PCM” under
“AV” in the Setup Display.
The sound effect automatically switches to “FLAT
in step 3.
Tip
For recording from the tuner:
If noise is heard while recording from the tuner, move
the respective antenna to reduce the noise.
