Before operating the radio. please read these
instruct ions thoroughly and retain them for future
reference.
Features
A quartz-eontrolled PLL (Phase Locked Loop)
synthesi zer syste m using a microcom puter for
easy pinpoint tuning.
Up to 5 stations in each band can be preset.
The tuned frequency is digitall y displayed to
make searching of the desired slation easier .
The radio can be turned on at the preset time.
Installing Batteries
Operating
the
Radio
Manual Tuning
1. Press POWER to turn Ihe radio on.
The band, frequency and the preset
number of the station before the radio
was turned off appear in the display
window.
2. Turn
VOl
(VOl
ume) a little to get sound.
3. Press BAND/STANDBY to select the
band.
Each press of the
button changes the
band in the following order.

(The display window shows the last
frequency chosen in each band.)
4. Tune in a desired station by pressing the
TUNElTIME
+ or - button.
5. Adjust volume by turning
VOl
(volume).
To turn the radio off. press POWER .
Preset Tuning
You can preset up to five stations in each band (a
total
01 15 stations).

Example: To set MW 1260 kHz in preset button 2.
1. Press POWER to turn the radio on.
2. Tune in the MW 1260 kHz (see "Manual
Tuning".)

The preset number "2" appears in the

To keep good time and preset stations . your
receiver needs three A6 (size AA) batte ries (nol
supplied) . Before setting the time and preset
stations on your receiver, open the lid at the
bottom of the unit, install the batteries with correct
polarity and then close the lid.
Knowing
When to Replace the
Batter
ies
When you turn the unit on, the power remai ning
in the battery is displayed for about one second
and a half. The unit displays one of the four
indications depen ding on the power remainin g in
the battery.
