Notes
• For DATA CDs, you can search for a particular point
only on an MP3 audio track.
• Depending on the DVD VIDEO/VIDEO CD, you
may not be able to do some of the operations
described.
• Depending on the disc, the actual speed may differ.
Tips
•The “×2B”/“×2b” playback speed is about twice the
normal speed.
• The “3M”/“3m” playback speed is faster than
“2M”/“2m”.
• The “2M”/“2m” playback speed is faster than
“1M”/“1m”.
Watching frame by frame
— Slow-motion play
(DVD VIDEO, DVD-RW in VR mode,
VIDEO CD, DivX video files only)
Press SLOW or SLOW when playback
is paused. To return to the normal playback,
press H (or hH on the unit).
Each time you press SLOW or SLOW
during Slow-motion play, the playback speed
changes as follows:
Playback direction
2 y 1
Opposite direction (DVD VIDEO/DVD-RW in VR
mode only)
2 y 1
Tip
The “2 ”/“2 ” playback speed is slower than
“1 ”/“1 ”.
Playing one frame at a time
— Freeze Frame
(DVD VIDEO, DVD-RW in VR mode,
VIDEO CD, DivX video files only)
Press STEP C to go to the next frame when
playback is paused. Press c STEP to go to the
previous frame when playback is paused (DVD
VIDEO/DVD-RW in VR mode only). To return
to normal playback, press H (or
hH on the
unit).
Notes
• You cannot search for a still picture on a DVD-RW
in VR mode.
• With DATA CDs, you can only use this function for
DivX video files.
