Protecting your hearing
(AVLS)
The AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter
System) function keeps down the
maximum volume to protect your ears.
1 Press MENU.
2 Press . or > repeatedly until
“OPTION” flashes in the display, and
then press ENTER again.
3 Press . or > repeatedly until
“AV L S ” flashes in the display, and
then press ENTER again.
4 Press . or > repeatedly until
“ON” flashes in the display, and then
press ENTER.
When you try to turn the volume too
high, “AV L S ” flashes in the display.
The volume is kept to a moderate
level.
To cancel AVLS
Select “OFF” in step 4.
Turning off the beep
sound
You can turn off the beep sound.
1 Press MENU.
2 Press . or > repeatedly until
“OPTION” flashes in the display, and
then press ENTER.
3 Press . or > repeatedly until
“BEEP” flashes in the display and
then press ENTER.
4 Press . or > repeatedly until
“M-UNIT” or “REMOTE” flashes in
the display, and then press ENTER.
M-UNIT: when turning off the beep
sound on the recorder.
REMOTE: when turning off the beep
sound on the optional remote control.
5 Press . or > repeatedly until
“OFF” flashes in the display, and then
press ENTER.
To turn on the beep sound
Select “ON” in step 5.
