      Playback sound might skip if the Sony CD Player is placed where it receives continuous vibration. To resolve this, put the recorder on a stable place. Additionally, a very short track may cause skipping, so try not to create a track under one second long.

      If the lid of your Sony CD Player doesn't open, it might be because the power sources were disconnected during recording or editing, or the battery has been exhausted. Set the power sources again, or replace the exhausted battery with new ones. The lid also might be not firmly closed. Close the lid until it clicks. Then press OPEN to open the lid.
