Configuring the System — System Menu

Select On/Off according to the type of installation, such
as on a ceiling, or on a rack, etc.
Note
When the Eflip setting is changed, the settings in the
Video codec tab of the Video / Audio menu or the Video
menu are initialized.
Image rotate
You can display the rotated images on the computer. The
rotation angle can be selected from 0 degree, 90 degree,
and 270 degree.
Notes
•When the Image rotate settings are changed, the
settings in the Video codec tab of the Video / Audio
menu or the Video menu are initialized.
•When the Image rotate is set to 90 degrees or
270 degrees, the Solid PTZ and Zoom mode settings
cannot be set.
When the Solid PTZ is enabled, the Image rotate
settings cannot be set.
The camera reboots when the Image rotate is
changed between 0 degrees and 90/270 degrees.
•When the Image rotate is set to 90 degrees or
270 degrees, even if the High framerate mode in the
Video codec tab of the Video / Audio menu is set to
On, the frame rate can be set is up to 30 fps (NTSC)
or 25 fps (PAL). (Supported models: SNC-VB635/
VB630/VB600/VB600B/VB632D/VB640/VB642D/
VM630/VM600/VM600B/VM631/VM601/
VM601B/EB640/EB642R)
•When Image rotate is set to 90 degrees or 270
degrees, full HD dual stream mode cannot be turned
On (Supported models: SNC-VB635/VB630/
VB632D/VB640/VB642D/VM630/VM631/
VM632R/EB640/EB642R/EM630/EM631/EM632R/
XM637/XM636/XM632/XM631).
Mirroring
You can display horizontally flipped images on the
computer. Select the checkbox to flip the images
horizontally.
Note
When the Mirroring settings are changed, the settings in
the Video codec tab of the Video / Audio menu or the
Video menu are initialized.
OK/Cancel
See “Buttons common to every menu” on page 23.
Initialize Tab
Reboot
Used when rebooting the system.
Click Reboot, and the message “This System will be
rebooted. Are you sure?” appears. Click OK to reboot
the camera. It takes about two minutes to restart.
Factory default
Resets the camera to the factory settings.
Note
If you adjust the focus after resetting to the factory
settings, the optimal focus position may not be obtained.
Please make sure to perform
Focus reset
on the Focus tab
under Video Menu after resetting to the factory default.

VB600B/VB640/EB630/EB600/EB640)
Retain current network settings
When this item is checked, only the current network
settings will be retained after reset.
Click Factory default, and the message “This System
will be rebooted. Are you sure?” appears.
When you click OK, the network indicator on the
camera starts to blink. After adjustments of the default
settings have finished, the camera reboots automatically.
Do not turn off the camera until the camera reboots.
Tip
The camera can also be reset to the factory settings by
turning on the power of this unit while pressing the reset
button on the camera. For details, refer to the supplied
Installation Manual.
Format memory card
You can format a memory card (not supplied) inserted
into the card slot of the camera. When you click Format
memory card, a confirming message appears. Click
OK to start formatting. Any files and folders stored in
the memory card will be deleted.
