The settings and precautions will differ according 1o |he operating system being used.
Check 1he ilems lhat apply lo your system.
For Windows XP users
Restrictions when running the SonicStage software under Windows XP
• To install this software, you must log on with a user name with "Computer
Administrator"* as an attribute.
• You must log on with the user name "Administrators" or "Power Users" to use the
SonicStage software.
• Bolh edition of Windows XP (ftome/Professional) can be used.
• The NTFS lbrmat of Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional (factory
installed) can be used only with lhe standard (factory) sellings.
* To check whelher the user n_me has the altdbute of "Computer Administrator"
Go to [Starq- [Control Ponel]-[User Account], and thencheck the user n_me displayed on the
window.
When using SonicStage under Windows XP
If you use Ihe "Syslem Restore" function in Windows "System Tools", audio data massaged
by SonicStage may become corrupled and rendered unplayable.
Belbre executing _l_esystem resloration procedure, you should first back up all audio files
and reslore _hem after doing _he system restoration procedure.
For details about backup procedures, refer to online help.
Note
Restoring backup dala requires access to the Intcrnet. [fan audio file becomes unplayable after
restoring the system, an error dialog box may appear. If this occurs, do as instructcd by the message.
