Do you have a question about the SOUNDMASTER MCD5600 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Soundmaster MCD5600 is a versatile hi-fi system designed for comprehensive audio playback and recording. It integrates a turntable, CD player, dual cassette decks, DAB+/FM radio, USB recording, Bluetooth connectivity, and an AUX-IN port, making it a central hub for various audio formats.

Function Description:

  • Turntable: The device features a 3-speed belt-drive turntable, capable of playing records at 33, 45, and 78 RPM. It includes a spindle adapter for 45 RPM records and an auto-stop on/off switch. The tone arm has a rest to secure it when not in use.
  • CD/MP3 Player: The MCD5600 includes a front-loading CD player that supports CD and MP3-CD formats. It offers standard playback controls such as play, pause, stop, track skip (forward/backward), fast forward/rewind, and album selection for MP3s. It also features repeat (single track, folder, all tracks) and random playback modes.
  • DAB+/FM Radio: The integrated radio tuner supports both DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting) and FM (Frequency Modulation) bands. It allows for automatic station search (SCAN) and manual tuning. Users can store up to 20 DAB and 20 FM stations as presets. The display shows "Stereo" for FM stereo broadcasts and automatically switches to mono for weaker signals.
  • Dual Cassette Decks: Two cassette decks are included, offering playback and recording capabilities. Deck 1 supports recording from various sources (CD/MP3, USB, radio, AUX-IN, Bluetooth, turntable, or Deck 2). Deck 2 is primarily for playback, but can be a source for recording to Deck 1. Features include play, pause, stop/eject, fast forward, and rewind. A "Continuous Play" function allows sequential playback from both decks.
  • USB Recording: The device supports direct recording to a USB stick from CD/MP3, DAB+/FM radio, turntable, cassette, AUX-IN, and Bluetooth sources. Users can record a single track (REC One) or all tracks (REC All) from a CD/MP3. For other sources, recording starts after confirmation. The recording bitrate can be selected (32-256 kHz) for Bluetooth, AUX, Phono, and Tape sources, while DAB/FM recordings are fixed at 128 kHz, and CD/MP3 recordings have a non-adjustable bitrate. Recorded files are organized into specific folders (e.g., "RIP" for CD-DA, "REC" for tuner/phono/Bluetooth/AUX/cassette, "FROMCD" for CD-MP3 copies). USB files can also be deleted individually or all at once.
  • Bluetooth Connectivity: The MCD5600 can connect to external Bluetooth devices (smartphones, tablets) for wireless audio streaming. It functions as a receiver, allowing music playback from the connected device, with control primarily handled by the mobile device.
  • AUX-IN: A 3.5mm AUX-IN jack allows connection of external audio sources.
  • Line Out: RCA Line Out sockets (R+L) enable connection to an external amplifier or recording device.
  • Headphone Output: A 3.5mm headphone jack is provided for private listening. When headphones are connected, the internal speakers are muted.
