Passive TS
Some passive expression ports do not require a separate power connection. In this case, the
expression signal is on the tip contact, and the sleeve contact is ground. This configuration requires a
mono (TS) cable. This configuration can be found on products from companies including Line 6 and
Eventide. In this mode, the corresponding DIP switches 1 to 5 should be set On, Off, Off, Off, Off,
respectively.
Active TS Control Voltage (CV)
Devices like modular synthesizers can be controlled by the Reflex if its outputs are configured in
active control voltage mode. In this mode, an internal 5 Volt source is connected to the
potentiometer, and an active control voltage is output on the tip contact. This configuration requires
a mono (TS) cable. In this mode, the corresponding DIP switches 1 to 5 should be set On, Off, Off, Off,
On, respectively.
