5. After entering appropriate values, press F1 to advance to the next recipe
screen.
6. After completing all recipe screens, press the Synoptic button to return to the
Synoptic screen. Recipe parameters are saved automatically.
7. To print recipe parameters to the optional line printer, press the Recipe button
and then press F2. The active recipe will be printed.
Thermal Treatment Steps
The Thermal Treatment steps temper, condition and anneal your product sample to
enhance freeze-drying. You can select and modify the parameters of up to 12
Thermal Treatment steps. Configurable settings include temperature, time and ramp
or hold.
Note: These settings must be within the unit’s ability. Consult your unit specifications or contact
SP Service for more information.
Setting Description
Temp (°C)
Use the
± key and the numeric keypad to change the temperature setting
in one-degree increments, up to ± 99 °C.
Time (min.)
Use the numeric keypad to change the time in five-minute increments, up
to 1255 minutes per step.
Ramp/Hold
Use the
± key to modify the Ramp or Hold value, or press Enter to select
the current Ramp or Hold. This will allow a temperature to be held for a
period or increased to a specific value over a fixed time.
