Reheating Mode
Reheating Mode is just possible, when the system includes heating.
This mode enables dehumidification to take place inside the vehicle. The system will present the
evaporator serpentine producing cold and the heating serpentine circulating hot water with the water flow
controlled by a proportional motor valve which is in turn controlled by means of a PID algorithm. The
control of temperature presents two agents: one for cold and the other for heat, in such a way we may
achieve the desired temperature, but with a smaller humidity percentage. On such mode, control will
position the motor valve in accordance with the water flow necessary. The water pump will be activated
when the slave valve opening percentage is superior to the one programmed at .
This mode just operates when the set-point temperature is higher than or equal to the internal
temperature, and the external temperature is higher than 8ºC. If these conditions are not satisfied and the
driver try to put the Reheating Mode in action, the system do not allow and shows (when the external
temperature is lower than 8ºC) or (Set-point temperature is higher than internal temperature).
To turn on the mode press the Reheating key. When this condition is met, the operation will be
determined by the store time on the parameter (operating Reheating time). During the reheating
operation the Smart Air mode is disabled. If the driver tries to turn on the Smart Air, the system does not
allow it and the panel indicates . After elapsed time stored in , the Reheating Mode is turned off
and the Smart Air mode is turned on again.
This way it is possible to control a sensible humidity reduction inside the vehicle, preventing in some
cases, the dimming of windshields, thus enhancing passenger’s comfort.
This mode does not operate if there is an external sensor failure.
