6.4 PRESSURE TEST OF THE A/C SYSTEM
− Connect the high and low pressure hoses to the AC system.
− Select “Manual WSC pressure test ” from the main menu.
− Select the type of compressor (fixed or variable geometry).
− Start the vehicle at 1500 rpm/min.
− Start the ac system.
− Check the pressure on the gauges.
− If the values comply with the tolerance values the bar becomes green.
− If the bar is red, the values are higher or lower than the tolerance ones.
− Pressing the F key during the test it is possible to visualize for some seconds the minimum, medium
and maximum values.
− The correct values are visualized in green, the ones out of tolerance are red.
Manual WSC Function
− Keeping pressed the up arrow during the pressure test you add gas into the system.
− Keeping pressed the down key during the pressure test the gas is recovered.
− An arrow on the display indicates that the operation is in progress.
− The two high and low pressure taps must to be closed.
− Press the key “STOP” on the keyboard.
− Start the vehicle in gear of 1500 r.p.m.
− Switch-on the A/C system.
− Control the pressure on the gauges “A” and “B” according to the following table:
ROOM
TEMPERATURE
LOW PRESSURE
VARIABLE CYLINDER
CAPACITY
HIGH PRESSURE
VARIABLE CYLINDER
CAPACITY
LOW PRESSURE
FIXED CYLINDER
CAPACITY
HIGH PRESSURE
FIXED CYLINDER
CAPACITY
°C 15 0,5 – 2,0 5 – 13 0,5-2,0 7,5-13
°C 20 0,5 – 2,5 10 – 16 0,5 – 2,5 10 – 16
°C 25 0,5 – 2,5 12 – 18 0,5 – 2,5 10 – 16
°C 30 0,5 – 3 12 – 20 0,5 – 3 10 – 16
- At the end of the test, disconnect the coupling from the a/c system, open the taps of the station and perform
the recovery of the gas using the manual function.
Automatic WSC Function
During the pressure test, the station will perform the automatic compensation of the charge according to the
system type (compressor with fixed or variable cylinder capacity), room temperature, high and low pressure.
Note: the WSC system is not active if you select the charge from one hose only.
Pressure trends
It is visualized the trend of the pressure in time.
Pressing the Print key it is possible to print out the pressure trend.
