Safety instructions for the paste burner
- The paste burner may only be used by persons who are fit to operate it and are fully aware of and familiar
with the scope of the safety instructions specified in these instructions for use. Operation by children is not
recommended.
- The only fuel permitted is the fuel paste contained in the aluminium cup/goblet. When the aluminium cup is
exhausted, the fuel paste can be replenished.
- Operate and store the burner on a horizontal surface only. Do not tip or tilt the burner.
Caution!
Tipping or tilting may cause flash fire.
- The burner may be used in well-ventilated rooms only.
- Before every use, verify the adjustability of the burner. If its adjustability is limited, it may not be possible to
extinguish a very hot burner. If this is the case, let the burner burn out in a safe place.
Caution!
Before lighting the burner, make sure its upper and lower section have been securely twisted together.
The lower section may otherwise detach when the burner is lifted and fall down while still burning.
Risk of burns or injury!
Very high temperatures are generated during use, the paste burner is hot. Residual heat remains even
after use. Touch the paste burner by the handle only and place it on heat-resistant coasters only. Use
our SPRING GRIPS pot holders or gloves, if necessary.
- Use long matches or stick lighters for lighting. Hand-held lighters are not suitable.
- Do not carry the burner with an open flame even if the flame is burning in the warmer. There is a fire hazard
from stumbling, dropping, an air blow or carelessness.
- Never leave the burner unattended during operation and use it only for its intended purpose.
- The burner may be used only if placed at a safe distance from flammable substances. Keep a minimum
distance of 1 m to any adjoining surfaces (e.g. walls, ceilings, etc.).
- Do not place the burner on hot or warm surfaces. Use a heat-resistant base to protect sensitive surfaces.
- Assure after each use and before filling in new fuel paste that the burner has completely extinguished and
cooled down.
- Use the corresponding lid only to extinguish the burner. There is a fire hazard if other objects are used. If a
burner is very hot and does not extinguish right away after the lid was put on, remove the lid again and allow
the burner to burn a few minutes longer at the lowest adjustment setting. This will reduce the heat and allow
you to use the lid to easily extinguish the burner afterwards.
- Make sure to let the burner cool down after use.
- Also follow the warnings printed on the refill containers.
- The burner is delivered unfilled.
