Why is the external gear shift light dead on my Stack Monitor?
    • D
      Deanna CruzSep 18, 2025
If the external gear shift light is dead, the bulb may have burnt out (replace bulb) or there may be faulty wiring to the light (check continuity of wiring).

How to troubleshoot no RPM speed reading on Stack Monitor?
    • B
      Brian MurrayAug 25, 2025
If there is no RPM speed reading, the cause may be incorrect wiring. Check the connection of the engine speed wire to the ignition system (or sensor, if used).

What to do if Stack Monitor display flashes and dial pointer resets?
    • J
      Jennifer MartinAug 26, 2025
If the display flashes and the dial pointer resets or vibrates, it could be due to an almost dead battery (recharge or replace it) or a faulty power connection to B + or B - (check power lead continuity).

Why is the tachometer reading erratic on my Stack Monitor?
    • D
      Deanna CaldwellAug 27, 2025
If the tachometer reading is erratic and the pointer jumps high or low, it could be due to incorrect wiring (reconnect the tachometer as specified in this manual) or a noisy signal from the ignition system or coil (condition the ES signal by placing a resistor in line with the ES wire).

Why do my Stack Monitor display and alarm light flash when the engine is running?
    • J
      Janice EscobarSep 22, 2025
If the display and alarm light flash when the engine is running, there may be an intermittent alarm caused by a parameter with its alarm level set too close to the normal operating value. Either change the value for the alarm or turn the alarm off.
  • R
    Ronald DeanSep 23, 2025
Why does my Stack Monitor freeze when the engine starts?
    • R
      Randy BenjaminSep 23, 2025
If the display unit functions correctly until the engine is started, whereupon the digital display either freezes or flashes, and then functions correctly as soon as the engine is stopped, there may be high levels of electrical interference. Fit suppressors to the high tension leads and use silicon resistive leads.
  • A
    Alan FoleySep 9, 2025
Why are the display values unclear on my Stack Monitor?
    • H
      Holly WalkerSep 9, 2025
If the display values and messages are unclear or unreadable due to poor contrast, the display may be too hot or too cold (ensure that the display is operated within the specified temperature range) or the ECU interface may be shorted (if fitted) - check the two core screen ECU wires for short circuits.
  • D
    David JacksonSep 12, 2025
Why does my Stack Monitor show a fixed pressure reading of 0 PSI?
    • J
      James JonesSep 12, 2025
A fixed pressure reading of 0 PSI or 0.0 Bar, or a suspected low/slow reading, may be caused by a failed pressure sensor (replace sensor) or faulty sensor connections (check pressure connections).
  • D
    Debbie BraySep 3, 2025
Why does my Stack Monitor display a fixed temperature reading of 999° C?
    • S
      Samantha SullivanSep 3, 2025
If the display shows a fixed temperature reading of 999° C or 999° F, it may be due to a failed temperature sensor (replace sensor) or faulty sensor connections (check the continuity of sensor leads: with the sensor disconnected and the display powered up, there should be 6.25V between the sensor leads).

Why are there no alarms for water, oil, or fuel being displayed on my Stack Monitor?
    • B
      Brandon HerringSep 1, 2025
If there are no alarms for water, oil, or fuel temperatures and pressures being displayed, it could be because all the alarms have been switched off (switch on the required alarms) or the engine RPM gate value is set too high (reset the RPM gate to a lower value).
