Overview

The MANOSKOP® 721 and 730 Quick are adjustable torque wrenches designed for controlled tightening of screw joints in a workshop environment. They feature a cut-out, tactile, and audible signal to indicate when the set torque level has been reached. These wrenches are equipped with a safety cut-out mechanism, and the desired torque value is set on a force-free sliding scale with an automatic setting fail-safe mechanism. The measuring element is a flexible rod that is not pretensioned and only comes under tension during the tightening process until the wrench cuts out. After use, it does not need to be reset to the lowest value and is immediately ready for the next job. The ergonomic 2-component grip ensures pleasant and safe handling, with optical and tactile signals indicating the correct grip position.

Technical Specifications:

All models comply with DIN EN ISO 6789, Type II, Class A, with a maximum permissible deviation of ±4% from the set value at cut-out. Each MANOSKOP® comes with a serial number and a works calibration certificate.

Usage Features:

  • Directional Tightening: These wrenches primarily tighten in one direction, indicated by an arrow and the word "CLICK". Counterclockwise tightening is possible by rotating the insert tool 180° for 730 series models or by using the push-through square drive for the MANOSKOP® 721/30 Quick. The MANOSKOP® 721/5, 721/15, and 721/20 Quick models cannot be used for counterclockwise tightening.
  • Insert Tool Attachment: For 721/5, 721/15, 721/20, 721QR/20 Quick, the ratchet is switched to "R" for clockwise tightening or "L" for uncontrolled loosening. The insert tool slides over the square drive until it locates. For 730 series models, the insert tool is inserted into the internal square drive, pressing down the spring-loaded locking pin until it locates in the hole.
  • Torque Setting: The torque level is set by moving the sliding scale against a fixed mark. Always approach the desired setting from a lower value. The integrated magnifying glass aids precise positioning. The setting fail-safe mechanism is released by holding down the pressure plate at the grip end, and the value is automatically locked upon release.
  • Operation: Pull steadily and without interruption until a jerk and click are felt. Do not continue tightening after the cut-out. The wrench is immediately ready for the next job.
  • Safety: Only use STAHLWILLE plug-in tools. Ensure the plug-in tool's load capability exceeds the torque wrench's capacity. Special tools should only be manufactured in consultation with STAHLWILLE. Always secure plug-in tools with the retaining pin. Avoid using the wrench as a hammer or for uncontrolled loosening of rusty joints, as this can cause damage. Do not overload the tool by more than 25% of the maximum permissible load.

Maintenance Features:

  • Accuracy Checks: Due to normal wear, the accuracy of the cut-out should be checked regularly. An inspection is recommended after approximately 5000 cut-outs or 12 months, whichever comes first, starting from initial commissioning, in accordance with DIN EN ISO 6789.
  • Readjustment: If an inspection reveals excessive deviation, the torque wrench must be readjusted. This can be done by STAHLWILLE or by the user, though user adjustment voids STAHLWILLE's accuracy guarantee. Readjustment requires a torque tester and a 2 mm Allen key.
  • Adjustment Screws: Each MANOSKOP® has two internal adjuster screws accessible through holes in the housing. The screw closer to the handle end adjusts the lower end of the scale range, while the screw closer to the head adjusts the upper end. Turning the Allen key clockwise increases the cut-out torque level, and counterclockwise decreases it.
  • Cleaning: Clean the MANOSKOP® only with white spirit. Other chemical substances may damage plastic components.
  • Accessories: STAHLWILLE offers a range of insert tools (ratchet, square, open-jaw, ring, Torx®, bit-holder) and mechanical/electronic torque testers for inspection and readjustment.
  • Services: STAHLWILLE provides repairs, testing and readjustment (including accuracy guarantee and new works calibration certificate), and training courses. More information is available on their service portal: service.stahlwille.de.
  • Disposal: When disposing of the tool, observe local environmental protection laws. The handle is made of PPC.
