Issue: Solution:
Digital Display Panel Faulty:
Make sure there is proper power to the SL and that it is NOT
plugged into an extention cord.
An intermittent ripple or
murmur sound:
This is normal and caused by the refrigerant flow within the
pipeline.
An intermittent clanking or
thud sound:
This sound is caused by the evaporator defrosting and filling the
reservoir. This does not affect the use of the SL.
The top and or side of the
casing feels warm to touch:
This is normal and caused by the radiating pipes inside the
casing.
An unusally loud rippling
sound:
Ensure the SL is placed on a level floor. Check the back of the unit
and ensure it’s not too close to the wall. A vibrating sound from the
digital compressor is normal.
Condensation on the inside
and on the glass door:
This is normal and caused when the temperature is set too low or
the humidity too high. The best parameters are 36 degrees / 75%
The SL takes longer than
24 hours to cool to
temperature:
Ensure the SL is in an ambient room temperature of 60 - 85 degrees.
It is not recommened to place the unit outside or in extreme
conditions. Make sure the door is closed correctly and the gasket
is sealed around the door.
A fog like appearance within
the SL.
This is normal and caused by the actuators within the reservoir
drawer creating humidity within the environment.
The UV Light and the two
fans turn off when the door
opens:
This is normal and used to reduce the use of energy from the fans
and to protect you from ultra-violet ray damage.
An E6 error code and a
beeping sound.
This is to notify you that the water level is low. Be sure to use
Distilled Water purchased at the grocery store to curb the build
up of minerals. Fill the reservoir two-thirds full.
