12.3 Possible Errors
12.4 Accuracy 0.1 % FSO
Devices with an accuracy of 0.1 % FSO have micro-controlled electronics for proces-
sing and improving the signal. As a matter of principle, the processing takes more
time than for analogue sensors, which have only an amplifier. Due to this longer res-
ponse time, the output signal follows the measured value discontinuously. For rela-
tively stable measuring values, this characteristic is secondary. Please compare the
specification for the response time in the data sheet.
Error Possible Reason Corrective Measure
no output signal a) deficient power sup-
ply
check the cable and
supply voltage
b) cable break inspect all line connec-
tions.
c) sensor damaged return to Stein Sohn
output is too low a) load resistance is too
high
verify the value of the
load resistance
b) power supply is too
low
check the power supply
signal value does not fit
the expected tank pres-
sure
a) offset and span have
shifted

b) diaphragm is soiled clean the sensor
according to chapter 10.1
c) diaphragm is
damaged
check the diaphragm. If
damaged, send the
device to Stein Sohn for
repairs.
signal value is zero
despite the tank being
full
a) stop-valve is closed open stop-valve
