If your Steinbach Water Pump isn't priming correctly or is running noisily, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure there's enough water supply and that the suction line isn't leaky; seal any leaks and tighten the screw fittings. Also, the suction head might be too high, so observe the maximum suction head. Consider installing a check valve and filling the suction line with water. Furthermore, check if the suction strainer or check valve is blocked, and clean or replace them as needed. Lastly, water leaks between the motor and pump may cause this issue, in which case you should replace the Duocone seal.
