13. Shutting down the system
We recommend running the appliance in fan stage1, even during
prolonged absence.
!
Material losses
If you interrupt the power supply to the appliance, check
that humidity protection is ensured for the building.
If the appliance needs to be taken out of use for an extended
period, disconnect it from the power supply.
f Replace the filters.
14. Maintenance
WARNING Electrocution
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before
carrying out work inside the appliance.
f Isolate the appliance from the power supply.

f Open the cover beneath the appliance or remove the sus-
pended ceiling panels under the appliance.
f Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and secure
it against unauthorised reconnection.

f Undo the fixing screws of the condensate pan.
f Remove the condensate pan from the appliance carefully as it
may still contain water.
f Clean the condensate pan.
Cleaning the condensate drain

Material losses
A blocked condensate drain can cause appliance faults.
If the condensate drain is blocked, condensate can escape
from the appliance in an uncontrolled manner and cause
water damage.
f Clean the condensate drain at regular intervals.
Cleaning the float module of the condensate pump
This section is not necessary if no condensate pump is connected.
f Check the functionality of the float module every two years. If
necessary, clean the float module.
You can remove the cover of the float module. During assembly,
ensure that the bevelled side of the float magnet faces upwards.
f Push the cover back onto the float module.
Cleaning the cross-countercurrent heat exchanger

CAUTION Injury
After the wedge has been removed, the cross-counter-
current heat exchanger may become detached and fall
down.
f When you remove the wedge, you must also remove
the cross-countercurrent heat exchanger.
f Remove the wedge from between the appliance body and the
cross-countercurrent heat exchanger.
f Carefully remove the heat exchanger from the appliance. Do
not let it fall. Avoid damaging the EPS parts in the appliance.
f Use a commercially available vacuum cleaner to remove dust
and other loose dirt particles from the intake and discharge
surfaces.
f If required, clean the heat exchanger with warm water
(max.55 °C) and a commercially available detergent. Do not
use solvents.
f Flush the heat exchanger with water.
