English / USA
Exhaust emissions are controlled by the
design of the fundamental engine
parameters and components (e.g.
carburation, ignition, timing and valve or
port timing) without the addition of any
major hardware.
General Information
Your carburetor comes from the factory
with a standard setting.
This setting provides an optimum fuel-air
mixture under most operating
conditions.
Standard Setting
: Shut down the engine.
: Remove the auger from the
machine.
: Check air filter and clean or replace
as necessary.
: Check that the throttle cable is
properly adjusted and readjust if
necessary – see chapter on
"Adjusting the Throttle Cable".
: Carefully screw the idle speed
screw (LD) down onto its seat
counterclockwise (left-hand thread).
Then open it two turns clockwise.
Adjusting Idle Speed
: Carry out standard setting.
: Start and warm up the engine.
