4. Connecting the STIHL engine
analyzer to the computer
. Check the computer for integrated Bluetooth
®
hardware and deactivate if necessary, e. g. via
a switch on the notebook or the BIOS settings.
. Plug the Bluetooth
®
USB stick into a free USB
slot
Note
Only use the Bluetooth
®
USB stick supplied and
when plugging it in for the first time, wait until the
driver installation has been completed.
. Start the STIHL diagnostic software and wait
until the display in the status bar "Searching for
MDG 1" changes to "MDG 1 found"
. Click on the graphic "MDG 1" – status bar
indicates "MDG 1 connected" and the STIHL
diagnostic software changes to "Preparation"
LED (1) is blue – ready for use
LED (1) flashes blue – data transmission
. Follow the handling steps of the STIHL
diagnostic software
