: Unscrew the nut (1).
: Remove the shim (2).
: Pull the heater switch (1) inwards
and out, check it and replace if
necessary.
: Take out the screw (1).
: Take the contact ring (2) out of its
seat and pull the ground wire (3)
out of the guides (arrows).

Installing
: Position the ground wire's
contact ring (1) so that the
crimping points towards the
carburetor and the
contours (arrow) are in
alignment.
: Fit the contact ring (1) in the
retainer (2).
: Position the heater switch (1) so
that its slot lines up with the
lug (arrows).
: Push the heater switch (1)
through the ground wire's contact
ring and into the retainer (2).

: Fit the washer (2).
: Fit the nut (1) and tighten it down
firmly.
: Position the wire (1) of the
carburetor's heating element so
that the crimped side of the
terminal faces down.
: Position the ground wire (2) so
that the crimped side of the
terminal faces up.
: Insert and tighten down the
screw (3) firmly.
Do not twist the terminals.
Check operation.
