21 Shroud
21.1 Remove shroud
► Move the Master Control Lever to the stop
position 0
► Push the front hand guard forwards – the saw
chain is blocked
► Loosen screws (1)
► Remove the shroud (2)
21.2 Refitting the shroud
► Refit the shroud and tighten the screws
22 Air Filter System
The air filter system can be adapted to suit differ‐
ent operating conditions by installing different fil‐
ters. Changing the filter is quick and simple.
22.1 Fleece filter
► Fleece filter for normal operating conditions
and dry work areas.
22.2 HD2 filter
► HD2 filter (black filter frame, pleated filter
material) for extreme wintry conditions (e.g.
powder or drifting snow) or very dusty work
areas.
23 Cleaning the Air Filter
23.1 If there is a noticeable loss of
engine power.
► Remove the shroud – see "Shroud".
23.1.1 Removing the air filter
► Clean away loose dirt from around the filter.
NOTICE
To avoid damaging the filter, do not use tools for
removing and installing the air filter.
► Rotate the air filter a 1/4 turn counterclockwise
and lift it away in the direction of the rear han‐
dle.
► Always replace a damaged filter.
23.1.2 Cleaning the air filter (fleece filter)
► Knock out the filter or blow it clear with com‐
pressed air from the inside outwards.
If knocking it out or blowing it clear is not suffi‐
cient to remove stubborn dirt, or if the filter fabric
is sticky, perform the following steps:
