ground.
● Stop the engine. (Ö 13.3)
● Engage the parking brake. (Ö 8.14)
● Allow the engine and muffler to cool
down completely.
The following maintenance and repair
work can be found in the engine

15.1 Maintenance schedule
All the instructions in the maintenance
schedule must be strictly observed.
Non-observance of the maintenance plan
can lead to significant damage to the
machine.
Display of operating hours (RT 6112 C,
RT 6112 ZL, RT 6127 ZL):
In order to ensure that the various
maintenance intervals can be observed
exactly, the ride-on mowers RT 6112 C,
RT 6112 ZL, RT 6127 ZL are equipped
with an hour meter. The operating hours
are indicated as full hours.
● With the engine switched off, turn the
ignition key to the "ignition on" position.
(Ö 8.1)
The operating hours are shown on the
display for 5 seconds. (Ö 10.1)
● With the engine running, press the
Mode button. (Ö 10.3)
The operating hours are shown on the
display for 5 seconds.
Maintenance operations prior to initial
use:
In order to achieve more efficient and safer
operation and to prevent faults, it is
important to be familiar with the condition
of the machine.
For this purpose, the following checks are
required before each start (visual
inspection):
– Tyre pressure. (Ö 15.16)
– Wear and damage to tyres.
– Leaks in fuel carrying lines.
– Engine oil level (see engine instruction
manual).
– Fuel-tank level.
– General visual inspection of the
machine and mowing deck. Particularly
the protective covers must be inspected
for damage.
– Tightness of bolted connections.
Maintenance operations after each use:
– Clean the entire machine (mowing
deck, discharge chute, grass catcher
box) and all attachments.
15. Maintenance
Risk of injury!
Before all maintenance and repair
work, carefully read and observe
the section "For your safety" and
especially the subsection
"Maintenance and repairs". (Ö 4.)
Remove the ignition key
to prevent inadvertent
starting of the engine.
Always wear gloves.
Never touch the mowing
blades before they have
come to a standstill.
For safety reasons, maintenance
operations on the brakes are not
permitted. Only allow adjustment
and maintenance operations to be
performed by a specialist dealer.
STIHL recommends
STIHL specialist dealers.
Note
Due to heavy-duty use, especially
in professional operation, shorter
maintenance intervals than those
specified here may be required.
Moreover, extreme external
conditions such as sandy or stony
ground, dust, etc. may lead to
shorter maintenance intervals than
those specified in the instruction
manual.
An inspection by a specialist dealer
must be performed after every 100
operating hours or once a year.
