5 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
A worn or damaged hose can leak. To reduce the risk of
injury or property damage from chemical leakage:
Before starting work, ensure that the hose is in good
condition and not frayed, cracked, deformed or
damaged in any way.
Avoid catching the hose on brush, undergrowth or
other objects while working.
5.7.5 Operating Instructions
WARNING
In the event of an emergency:
Switch off the motor immediately and remove the
battery.
To reduce the risk of fire/explosion resulting in serious or
fatal injury or property damage:
Do not direct the spray jet into places you cannot
see.
Switch off the sprayer, remove the battery, relieve
system pressure and lock the trigger switch before
changing or adjusting any spray nozzle or
accessory.
The sprayer is not food-safe.
Do not spray liquefied food products or beverages.
Particles can be drawn into the pump if the strainer or filter
are not properly fitted. The sprayer and spraying
attachment can be blocked or damaged.
Always fit the strainer and filter securely before
sealing the container.
To reduce the risk of leakage:
Place the sprayer on a level surface when filling the
container.
Do not overfill the container.
If you fill the container with a hose attached to a
central water supply, keep the hose out of the
solution to reduce the risk of backflow, i.e. the
chemicals being sucked into the water supply.
Use of unsuitable chemicals can cause personal injury
and damage the sprayer and/or the objects being sprayed.
Always follow the chemical manufacturer's handling,
dilution and application instructions.
To reduce the risk of spilling the contents of the container:
Stand upright while working and avoid bending at the
waist.
Running the sprayer without fluid in the container will
cause the pump to overheat, which may result in
permanent damage and leakage:
Do not operate the sprayer without liquid in the
container.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of short circuit, fire and electrocution:
Never direct the spray jet toward the sprayer itself or
any of its components.
Never direct the spray at electrical appliances and
equipment, sockets or power cords.
Never spray flammable or combustible
liquids.
Never spray caustic or corrosive
materials.
Never draw fluids into the pump that
contain solvents or undiluted acids (e.g.,
gasoline, heating oil, paint thinner or
acetone).
Never direct the spray jet toward
yourself or other persons. Keep
bystanders away when
spraying.
Do not direct the spray jet
toward animals.
