22 Troubleshooting Guide
Useful life of battery
has been reached or
exceeded.
► Have the battery checked by an authorized STIHL servicing
dealer.
Sprayer does not
spray chemicals.
The pump is stuck. ► Filling the container,@ 16.1.1.
► Insert the battery and switch on the sprayer, @ 14.1.
► Squeeze the trigger switch approximately one minute,
@ 16.2.
► If the sprayer still not spray chemicals, do not attempt to
use.
The sprayer has a malfunction and must be checked by a
servicing dealer.
Sprayer does not
spray chemicals or
the shape of the
spray has changed.
Filter or nozzle is
blocked.
► Clean the filter, @ 20.
► Clean the nozzle, @ 20.3.
The nozzle is worn. ► Insert a new nozzle.
Spraying attachment
vibrates and
pressure gauge is
erratic.
Pulsation damper on
pump not operating
properly.
► Remove the battery, @ 13.2.
► Drain the container completely.
► Insert the battery and switch on the sprayer, @ 14.1.
► Squeeze the trigger switch for 30 seconds,@ 16.2.
► Refill the container, @ 16.1.1.
Chemicals leaks
from sprayer in the
area of the hose
clamp.
Hose clamp has
loosened.
► Tighten down the screw on the hose clamp.
Always remove the battery before carrying out any inspection, cleaning or maintenance.
