When delivered, the battery is not fully
charged.
It is advisable to charge the battery
completely before using it for the first
time.
N Before inserting the battery, remove
the battery compartment cover if
there is one; to do this, press both
safety catches at the same time –
cover is unlocked – remove the
cover
Inserting the battery
N Insert the battery (1) in the battery
compartment of the machine –
press gently until it clicks into place
– top of battery must be flush with
the top edge of the housing
Switching on the machine
N Unlock the machine by moving the
retaining latch (2) to ‚
N Assume a firm and secure stance
N Stand up straight – hold the
machine in a relaxed manner
N The abrasive wheel must not touch
any objects or the ground
N Hold the machine in both hands –
left hand on the handlebar – right
hand on the rear handle
N Press the trigger switch lockout (3)
N Press and hold the trigger switch (4)
– the motor is running
The motor only runs if the retaining
latch (2) is set at ‚ and if the trigger
switch lockout (3) and trigger switch (4)
are actuated at the same time.
N Release the trigger switch (1) and
trigger switch lockout (2)
N Set the retaining latch (3) to ƒ –
machine is locked so that it cannot
be switched on
During breaks and after work, remove
the battery from the machine.
NOTICE
If the battery is not removed, there is the
risk that the plug-in contacts on the cut-
off machine and battery become
corroded. Such corrosion can cause
irreparable damage to the cut-off
machine and battery.
