Art
der
Lichtübertragung

Fioeroptic
light
cables
contain
a
large
number
class
fibers.
The
spectral
transmission
tic
light
cable
is
approximately
the
same
for
all
of
the
wavelengths
of
vis
ble
light.
It
decreases,
however.
towards
the
blue
end
of
the
spectrum.
This
causes
the
light
to
take
on
a
warmer
shade
—
an
effect
which
becomes
more
intensive
the
longer
the
light
cable.
Fiberoplic
light
cables
are
opaque
to
ultraviolet
l'ght.
Light
absorption
is
approximately 10%
per
meter,
the
radiation
loss
is
aoout
40%.
This
means
that
about
one
third
of
the
light
that
strikes
the
cable
s
still
available
at
he
end
of
a
2
m
ong
fiberop-
tic
light
cable.

en
