Battery Safety
WARNING: THIS DEVICE IS NOT WATERPROOF.
● Never use the Digital Infrared Thermometer with damp or wet hands.
Moisture can cause electricshock or short circuits.
● Do not use the Digital Infrared Thermometer in or near a bath,
shower, swimming pool, or any container lled with water, such as a
sink.
● Do not use in wet environments and do not immerse in liquid. Never
pour liquids over or near the Digital Infrared Thermometer. There is
a risk of electric shock! If liquid does get into the housing, turn o the
Digital Infrared Thermometer immediately.
● Do not place the Digital Infrared Thermometer near a re, or in direct sunlight. The heating of
the device can cause additional heating, breaking, or ignition of the batteries.
● In case you are using rechargeable batteries, do not continue charging the batteries if they do
not recharge within the specied charging time. Doing so may cause the batteries to become
hot, rupture, or ignite.
● Do not attempt to recharge a battery if the battery emits any substances. In that case,
immediately distance yourself from the battery in case of re or explosion. Only recharge
rechargeable batteries and use a suitable charger.
● Do not attempt to modify or disassemble a battery.
● Do not use your Digital Infrared Thermometer if a battery begins to emit odor, overheats, or
begins to leak.
● Do not touch any leaking materials or breathe fumes emitted from a battery. A leaking or
damaged battery can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective
gloves.
● A battery contains dangerous substances, do not open a battery or insert anything into the
exposedbattery.
● Do not allow children and animals to touch an exposed battery.
● Never throw a battery into a re.
● Do not short circuit a battery. The battery can explode or leak if shorted.
● An empty battery can still be dangerous.
