ATTENTION! Danger of bodily injuries!
Switch off machine electrically and confirm that the
machine is really in standstill position by operating the
treadle for the motor control.
Remove the needle.
Otherwise danger of finger bruises and needle
throughstitches.
 Thread tears
Possible Reasons:
- the thread tension is too tight
- the needle is damaged
- the looper point is damaged
- unsuitable threads are used
- the needle plate is not polished in the range of needle penetration
Solutions:
- loosen the thread tension
- change the needle
- change the looper
- choose other threads
- repolish the needle plate by means of an abrasive cloth
 Stitches may skip when:
Possible Reasons:
- the thread tension is too tight
- the looper is too high above the needle
- the thread at the beginning is too short
- the needle is bent
- the loop stroke is too small
- a needle plate with the wrong opening is used
Solutions:
- loosen the thread tension
- reset the looper
- set a longer thread at the beginning
- change the needle
- enlarge the loop stroke
- choose a suitable needle plate
