8.3.1.1 To Control Fluid Suction
NOTE: See Table 16 High Suction Visual and Audible
Indicators for important condition, indication, and action
information.
1. While viewing the suction gauge on the main display,
turn the appropriate suction control dial to adjust the
suction limit in the associated canister (Figure 30).
2. Touch the START SUCTION button to start fluid suction
(Figure 30).

suction setting is selected for one or both canisters.

8.3.1.2 To Control Smoke Evacuation
CAUTION: DO NOT use the smoke evacuator to evacuate
or suction surgical fluid. Excessive amounts of fluid pulled
into the smoke evacuator may cause equipment damage.
See Section 8.1.3.4 To Test Smoke Evacuation to control
smoke evacuation.
