What does SSAM flash code two flashes mean on a Sullair 375?
    • M
      Michelle BarnesAug 18, 2025
If your Sullair Air Compressor shows SSAM flash code two flashes, it indicates that the engine coolant temperature switch is open, insufficient cooling airflow, or a loose/broken fan belt, or no engine coolant. Check the wiring connection to the switch and tighten it if necessary. Also, check the switch continuity to ground and replace if necessary. Clean the cooler and check for proper ventilation. Check the fan belt and tighten or replace it if necessary. Fill with proper water/glycol mixture as required.

What does SSAM flash code one flash mean on a Sullair 375?
    • T
      tboyleAug 20, 2025
If your Sullair Air Compressor displays SSAM flash code one flash, it means the compressor temperature switch is open. Check the wiring connection to the switch and tighten it if loose. Also, check the switch continuity to ground and replace if necessary. If the compressor feels hot refer to COMPRESSOR OVERHEATING trouble shooting procedure.

What does SSAM flash code three flashes mean on a Sullair 375?
    • B
      Brenda FlemingAug 23, 2025
If your Sullair Air Compressor shows SSAM flash code three flashes, it indicates the engine oil pressure switch is open. Check the wiring connection to the switch and tighten if necessary. Install gauge in parallel with the switch. Replace the switch if the pressure exceeds 15 psig and stays open. If the pressure is less than 15 psig, refer to the Engine Operator’s Manual.

Why is my Sullair 375 not achieving full discharge pressure?
    • K
      Kayla AllenAug 26, 2025
If your Sullair air compressor isn't reaching full discharge pressure, it could be due to: * The run/start valve not being in the run position (for compressors with idle warm-up controls, switch the valve to RUN). * Excessive air demand (check service lines for leaks or open valves). * A dirty air filter (check the filter and change the element if required). * A defective pressure regulator (check the diaphragm and replace with a kit if necessary). * A defective idle warm-up control (replace the control).

What causes improper unloading with excessive pressure build-up in Sullair 375?
    • J
      Justin McphersonAug 28, 2025
Improper unloading with excessive pressure build-up in your Sullair Air Compressor can result from: * A pressure regulating valve set too high; readjust it. * A control system leak causing loss of pressure signal; check control lines. * A defective pressure regulating valve; repair the valve (kit available). * An inlet valve jammed; free or replace the valve. * A restriction in the control system; check all control lines and components for ice or other contaminants. * A defective pressure relief valve that opens when the pressure is too low; replace the pressure relief valve. * A defective pressure regulator; check the diaphragm and replace it with a kit if necessary.

What to do if my Sullair Air Compressor engine does not crank or start?
    • C
      Catherine WatsonAug 31, 2025
If your Sullair Air Compressor engine doesn't crank or starts, check the battery cables and tighten them if they are loose. Also, inspect the ground wire for secure attachment to the frame and tighten if needed. If the issue persists, recharge or replace the battery. Examine the fuse in the wiring harness and replace it if it's blown. Check the instrument panel connectors and wires for loose connections, breaks, or corrosion, and reattach, clean, or replace as necessary. Finally, a faulty SSAM module may also be the reason, try to replace the module.

Why is my Sullair 375 Air Compressor engine coolant temperature high?
    • D
      Danielle PetersonSep 2, 2025
Several factors can cause the engine coolant temperature to be high: * The engine coolant temperature switch may be open; check the wiring connection and tighten if necessary, or check the switch continuity to ground and replace if necessary. * Insufficient cooling airflow; clean the cooler and check for proper ventilation. * A loose or broken fan belt; tighten or replace the belt. * Low engine coolant; fill with the proper water/glycol mixture as required. * A faulty water pump; change the pump. * A defective engine thermostat; change the thermostat element.

What causes high temperature in my Sullair 375?
    • T
      Tyler Bell DDSSep 4, 2025
High compressor temperature could be due to: * An open compressor temperature switch; check the wiring connection and tighten if loose, or check switch continuity to ground and replace if necessary. * Low receiver tank fluid level; add fluid to the receiver tank as required. * A loose or broken fan belt; tighten or replace the belt. * Insufficient cooling air flow or a dirty fluid cooler core; clean the core thoroughly and check for proper ventilation. * A clogged compressor fluid filter; change the fluid filter element. * A faulty fluid thermostat; change the fluid thermostat element. * A plugged fluid cooler tube (internal); replace the cooler.

What causes insufficient air delivery in a Sullair 375 Air Compressor?
    • J
      Justin JonesSep 7, 2025
Insufficient air delivery in your Sullair air compressor can be caused by several factors: * The run/start valve might not be in the run position; if your compressor has idle warm-up controls, switch the valve to RUN for full operation. * A plugged air filter; replace it. * A defective idle warm-up valve; replace the valve. * A plugged air/fluid separator; replace the separator element and also change the compressor fluid and fluid filter. * A defective pressure regulator; adjust or repair it.

What causes excessive fluid consumption in a Sullair 375?
    • G
      gbassSep 9, 2025
Excessive compressor fluid consumption in your Sullair Air Compressor may be due to: * A clogged return line; clear the orifice and return line strainer. * A lubrication system leak; check all pipes, connections, and components. * A separator element that is damaged or malfunctioning; change the separator element.
