4. Check/clean condensate drain valves and
screens. Verify auto-drain function.
5. Check/clean the blowdown valve control line
screen.
7.5 MAINTENANCE EVERY 250
HOURS
Perform the following after every 250 hours of
operation:
1. Check the battery level and fill with water if
necessary.
2. Replace air filter element.
3. Change the engine oil and oil filter.
4. Check fan belt tension.
5. Clean the heat exchangers and radiator
exterior. Depending on how contaminated
the atmosphere may be, more frequent
cooler and radiator cleaning may be neces-
sary. To allow easier access to the heat
exchangers, remove the two long access
doors located on each side of the package.
Replace the access doors when complete.
6. Check the Engine Operator's Manual for
additional service requirements.
7. Check/clean condensate drain valves and
screens. Verify auto-drain function.
8. Check/clean the blowdown valve control line
screen.
9. When using fluids other than Sullair AWF,
change the compressor fluid and replace the
fluid filter element.
7.6 MAINTENANCE EVERY 500
HOURS
When using fluids other than Sullair AWF, replace
the fluid filter element only (See maintenance
procedure in OIL FILTER MAINTENANCE on page
82).
7.7 MAINTENANCE EVERY 1500
HOURS
1. When using Sullair AWF, change the com-
pressor fluid and replace the fluid filter ele-
ment (See maintenance procedures in OIL
FILTER MAINTENANCE on page 82).
2. Inspect discharge check valve for wear.
Spring, flappers, and shaft should be intact.
Replace spring (Sullair kit 02250180-083).
7.8 MAINTENANCE EVERY 7500
HOURS OR ONE YEAR OF
OPERATION
The following items should be checked every 7500
hours of operation or one year, whichever comes
first, although service conditions such as relative
cleanliness of process air or quality of cooling
medium may require shorter inspection intervals.
1. Replace control line filter element.
2. Replace sump breather filter element.
3. Replace air filter element.
4. Measure and record vibration signatures on
compressor and gear box- optional.
5. Check the fastener tightness of the adapter
connecting the engine to the compressor.
7.9 MAINTENANCE EVERY
15000 HOURS OR TWO
YEARS OF OPERATION
In addition to those items covered by the 7500 hour
or one year maintenance interval, the following items
must also be checked every 15000 hours of
operation or two years, depending upon conditions of
service:
1. Operate/test all safety devices.
2. Check condition of isolation mounts under
compressor unit and engine.
3. Check/clean strainer included in oil pump
suction line, inside oil sump.
4. Drain and flush the radiator and engine cool-
ing system. Replace the coolant with a solu-
tion of 50% ethylene glycol and 50% water,
or as required for your geographic location.
DO NOT use a leak sealing type of anti-
freeze. Should a 100% water solution be
